Originaire de Belleville, dans le New Jersey, My Chemical Romance voit le jour au lendemain des attentats du 11 septembre 2001. Selon le chanteur Gerard Way, c'est en voyant les gens sauter des tours jumelles qu'il aurait décidé de donner un sens véritable à sa vie en changeant celle des autres avec la musique. Aidés de leurs amis du groupe Thursday, le quintette lance en 2002 leur tout premier album intitulé I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, sous le label indépendant Eyeball records. Le disque est produit par Geoff Rickly, le chanteur de Thursday.

Nada Surf est un groupe de musique, formé en 1992 à New York, que l'on peut classer comme rock alternatif ou power pop. Le groupe a une réputation mondiale, il a pu effectuer des tournées aux États-Unis, au Canada, en Europe, en Australie et au Brésil notamment .Cette longévité a permis à Matthew, Daniel et Ira de réaliser quatre albums studio. Fin 2007, ils sortent un cinquième opus, Lucky, la sortie américaine étant prévue pour le 5 Février 2008. Ils sont d'ailleurs en tournée promotionnelle en Europe en fin 2007.
